What is the best type of business that you can start, literally from scratch, if you want to build yourself a new career on your own terms?
What is the best business that you can start from scratch if you want to build a new career on exactly your own terms? This could be your desire after suffering one of life’s many setbacks and you just want to jump ‘straight back into the saddle’ and take control of your life back… e.g. maybe you are recovering from an illness or maybe you have already recovered from one!

At one point in my career I found myself stuck in a job rut, unhappy with the corporate world where I just seemed stuck and unhappy. I had recovered from heart surgery and also from a cancer diagnosis, thank God, and really knew that there just had to be a better way to spend the rest of my life. Today I thrive in a rewarding and meaningful career that I have built for myself and I just love what I am doing.
More and more, people are beginning to look – just like I had done – for a realistic way to actually start a new business from scratch after recovering from a serious life setback. And why wouldn’t you want to experience the very best that life has to offer and to achieve the kind of financial freedom and time freedom that will allow you to live life on your terms?
My heart goes out to those people who have come out of a bad situation e.g. illness, toxic-relationship, redundancy or so many others only to now feel trapped in a job (if they are ‘lucky’ enough to have one) that many of them hate.
Many just hate going in to their job every day and may be wondering if it’s realistic to actually replace their (current) income before leaving their job so as to focus on the new business full time. Some may even fear that ‘they don’t have it in them‘ to succeed at this stage in life. Well I am delighted to say that I am living proof that they are wrong.
I can confirm that these great hopes are not only possible but are genuinely realistic for you and furthermore it has become far easier to set up a business from scratch and succeed in today’s digital, social and economic environment.
Better still, you can do this in your own time, while living anywhere in the world that you (once travel is possible!) and become financially self-reliant!
And something that was really important for me was the fact that not only did I want to make my livelihood on my own but I also wanted it to provide fulfilment and be something in which I really believed.
In particular, I wanted to be able to work my own hours whenever I wanted and wherever I wanted. I assure you that this is indeed possible for you as well as long as you have a laptop computer, have access to an internet connection, and are prepared to put in the work up-front and learn from my experience.

As Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad says, you should start with anything that is very product-driven and extremely easy to fulfill on. (It should be) something you believe in and feel confident selling. It needs to be a product you can sell many times over, every week without spending a lot of your personal time on customer service and support or transactions.
